Leadpages Landing Page Templates (2026): What's in the Library

What the Leadpages template gallery includes, what it costs to use, how to start a page from a template and how to make it look like your own brand.

Updated November 7, 2026

Leadpages landing page templates are pre-built page layouts inside the Leadpages builder, grouped by goal (lead generation, sales, webinars, ecommerce, pre-launch pages and more) and by industry. Every template is included with a paid plan and the 7-day free trial, every one is mobile responsive, and you can edit every section. This guide explains what the library contains, what happened to the old template marketplace, how to start from a template and how to stop a template page looking like everyone else's. To bring in a design of your own, see importing and customizing templates.

What the Leadpages Template Library Includes

Hands holding a tablet showing a calendar layout

The public gallery at leadpages.com/templates is organized two ways. Tabs split templates by page type: Landing Pages, Sales Pages, Lead Gen, Webinar, Ecommerce, Portfolio, Blog and a pre-launch tab. Below the tabs, use-case groups cover Real Estate, Health and Wellness, Thank You Pages, Home Services, Events, Downloads and Lead Magnets, Authors and Books, Consultations, Checkout, Sales, Coaching, Fitness and Nonprofit.

In practice that means there is a starting layout for most small-business jobs: a squeeze page for a free guide, an event registration page, a consultation booking page that can hold a scheduling calendar, a product checkout page, a coupon or limited-offer page and a simple thank-you page to follow any form. Sales page layouts are covered in more depth in Leadpages sales page templates, and finished page types are walked through in Leadpages landing page examples.

Template counts on Leadpages' own site differ from page to page (the gallery and the FAQ quote different figures), so treat any exact number with caution. What matters more is whether the library has a layout close to the page you need, which you can check in the public gallery before signing up.

Are Leadpages Templates Free?

Templates are not sold separately. They are part of every Leadpages subscription, and the gallery states that the 7-day free trial gives access to every template from day one. What Leadpages does not have is a free plan: once the trial ends, you need a paid plan (from $29 a month on Pro) to keep pages live. The Leadpages pricing guide breaks down each plan, and the free trial guide explains how the trial works.

Searches for "free Leadpages templates download" usually come from people hoping to grab a layout without an account. Leadpages templates are opened inside the builder, not exported as files, so the realistic free route is to use the trial, build and publish, and judge the result before the first charge.

What Happened to the Leadpages Marketplace

In 2014 Leadpages opened a template marketplace where third-party designers sold extra landing page templates, while Leadpages kept releasing its own templates free to customers. At the time, visitors could sort templates by conversion rate. That marketplace is no longer a separate store: its old web address now redirects to the standard template gallery, and current help documentation describes only the built-in library.

So if you see older articles about buying Leadpages templates for sale, or "drop-in" templates from outside vendors, treat them as history. Today the options are the built-in library, a custom template you save yourself, the AI builder or your own HTML.

How to Start a Page From a Template

The current Leadpages dashboard starts every page from a "New Page" button. Template pages in the public gallery also have a "Use This Template" button that creates an editable copy in your account. The general flow is:

  1. Pick a layout. Browse the gallery by tab or use case, preview a few options and choose the one whose section order is closest to your page.
  2. Create your copy. Click Use This Template (or, in the Classic Builder, go to Landing Pages, click Create New Landing Page, filter by page type, industry, style or color, then choose Start Building).
  3. Name the page so you can find it later in the dashboard.
  4. Replace the placeholders. Swap in your headline, copy, images, colors and form fields.
  5. Connect your tools. Link your email service for forms, or a payment gateway such as Stripe if the page sells something.
  6. Check the mobile view, then publish to a Leadpages domain, your own custom domain or a subdirectory path.

Customizing a Template to Match Your Brand

Every template opens in the drag-and-drop editor described in the Leadpages features guide, so nothing is locked. You can rewrite text, replace images, change colors and fonts, add or delete sections and drop in widgets such as video, countdown timers and HTML embeds. A template is a starting structure, not a word count you must match.

  • Brand kits: on plans that include them, a brand kit stores your fonts, colors and logo, which acts like a site-wide theme for new pages. The AI builder applies the selected brand kit automatically.
  • Mobile view: templates are built mobile-first, and a separate mobile view lets you hide or adjust elements for phones.
  • Distraction-free pages: landing page templates are standalone pages without your website menu, and you can delete any template's header links to keep visitors focused on one action.
  • Custom templates: save a finished page as a custom template and reuse it, so later campaigns start from your own design instead of the stock one.

Templates vs the AI Builder vs Uploading HTML

Templates are one of three ways to start a page in the current builder. Each suits a different situation:

Starting pointHow it worksBest when
TemplateCopy a pre-built layout and replace the contentYou know the page type and want a proven section order
Build with AIDescribe the business and offer; the AI drafts a full page you can editYou want a first draft of the copy as well as the layout
Build VisuallyStart from a blank canvas and add sections yourselfYou have a clear design in mind
Upload HTMLUpload an HTML file up to 5 MB or paste code, then publishA designer has already coded the page

AI drafts use your plan's monthly AI credits; templates and blank pages do not.

Are Leadpages Templates Ugly? How to Choose a Good One

A concern that comes up in online discussions is that Leadpages templates look dated or that template pages look alike. Part of that comes from older layouts and part from people publishing a template with stock photos and default colors. A few habits fix most of it:

  • Choose by structure, not by photo. Pick the template whose order of sections (headline, proof, offer, form) matches your page, then replace every image.
  • Apply your own fonts and colors first, before writing copy, so every section inherits them.
  • Delete sections you cannot fill honestly, such as a testimonial block with no real testimonials.
  • Keep one call to action. Templates that convert well tend to focus on a single action rather than offering several links.
  • Test once you have traffic. A/B testing starts on the Grow plan; there is no public ranking of which templates convert best for your audience, so measure your own pages.

If design freedom is your top priority, compare editors in the best landing page builders and Leadpages vs Unbounce, since some tools allow freer element placement than Leadpages' grid.

Website Templates for Multi-Page Sites

Not every template is a single landing page. The Portfolio and Blog tabs hold layouts for fuller websites, which Leadpages builds as sites with shared navigation and a blog. Site limits depend on the plan: Pro includes one site, Business two, Grow four and Optimize six. A practical setup for a small business is a site built from a website template for the home, about and contact pages, plus separate landing page templates for each campaign, so ads and emails point to focused pages rather than the home page. A Quick Checklist Before You Pick a Template

  • One goal per page: decide whether the page should collect an email, take a booking or make a sale, and filter by that goal first.
  • Real assets ready: gather your logo, product images, offer details and any genuine testimonials before opening the editor.
  • Form fields decided: ask for the minimum you need; every extra field is another reason to leave.
  • Integration connected: link your email tool or payment gateway early so you can test the form or checkout before publishing.
  • Domain sorted: know whether the page will live on a Leadpages domain, your custom domain or a subdirectory of your site.

Frequently Asked Questions

Are Leadpages templates free?

There is no separate charge for templates. They are part of a paid Leadpages plan, and the 7-day free trial gives access to every template from the first day. Leadpages has no free plan, so you need a trial or subscription to publish a template-based page.

Can I buy or sell Leadpages templates?

Not through Leadpages any more. A third-party template marketplace launched in 2014, but its old address now redirects to the standard template gallery.

Can I download Leadpages templates as HTML files?

Templates are used inside the Leadpages builder rather than downloaded. You can go the other way, though: the current builder lets you upload your own HTML file (up to 5 MB) or paste HTML code and publish it as a page.

Do Leadpages templates work on mobile?

Yes. Leadpages says all templates are designed mobile-first and adapt to any screen size, and you can adjust the mobile view separately, for example to hide an element on phones.

Do I have to keep the same amount of text as the template?

No. Placeholder copy only shows the intended layout. You can shorten or lengthen any text block and add or delete whole sections; just preview the mobile view afterward so the spacing still works.

Can I save my own page as a template?

Yes. Leadpages lets you save any page as a custom template and reuse it across your account, which is useful for agencies or anyone running many similar campaigns.
