Leadpages not working? The cause is usually on the page or in your browser rather than a Leadpages outage. The most common culprits are edits that were never republished, a cached old version, third-party code that breaks the page and caching or conflicts on WordPress. This guide works through each problem in the order that saves the most time, using the fixes in Leadpages' own help center, and ends with what to send support if none of them work.
Fast Checklist
- Open the page in a private window on another device to rule out cache.
- Republish the page if it shows draft changes.
- Remove recently added third-party code and republish.
- Switch to an up-to-date desktop browser for editing.
- On WordPress, clear the caching plugin and update the Leadpages plugin.
- Still broken? Contact support with the URL and error message.
Is Leadpages Down? How to Check the Status

Leadpages no longer has a public status page: its former status addresses redirect to an inactive Statuspage notice that only team members can view. That means you need to rule out a local problem yourself:
- Open the live page on your phone using mobile data instead of your usual network.
- Open a second Leadpages page or site. If one works and the other does not, the problem is that page, not a Leadpages outage.
- Check third-party outage monitors such as IsDown or StatusGator and the Leadpages X account, @Leadpages, for reports of a wider issue.
If every page on a custom domain fails while pages on your Leadpages domain still load, look at the domain connection first. DNS changes can take time to spread, and a record edited at your registrar can disconnect the domain; the custom domain guide covers the settings to recheck.
Page Not Updating After You Publish
This is the most frequent complaint, and in the current builder it has a simple explanation. Leadpages' help center says that edits made after publishing do not go live automatically. The editor toolbar shows how many changes are pending, and the Pages list marks the page with an amber "Live + Draft changes" label until you click Publish again. Once republished, Leadpages says the page goes live immediately at its URL.
If you have republished and still see the old version:
- Clear your browser cache or open the URL in a private window. Your browser may be showing a saved copy.
- Check the page status. A page marked Expired was published with an expiry date that has passed, and an unpublished page returns a 404 error to visitors.
- Check where the page is published. A page embedded or published on another platform may be cached there; WordPress caching is covered below.
In the Classic Builder, the same idea applies: changes reach visitors only after you update the published page.
Builder Slow, Frozen or Not Saving
When the builder keeps loading, freezes while publishing or drag and drop stops responding, start with the browser. Leadpages' Classic Builder publishing article suggests trying a private or incognito window or clearing your browser cache, because "it's possible you're experiencing a browser caching issue". Its supported browsers article adds two limits worth knowing: older browsers may not load every file correctly, and mobile browsers are not supported for editing or building pages.
Beyond that, a few general checks help with symptoms such as doubled keystrokes, widgets that will not drag or text that cannot be edited:
- Update your browser and restart it.
- Pause browser extensions such as ad blockers, password managers and grammar tools, then reload the builder.
- Close other tabs with the same page open, so two editors are not saving over each other.
- Try a different supported desktop browser to see whether the problem follows you.
The drag-and-drop editor guide explains how sections and widgets are meant to behave, which helps you tell a bug from a layout rule.

Start Free Leadpages TrialError Messages When Publishing
Leadpages' help center documents fixes for the errors people hit most often in the Classic Builder:
| Problem | What Leadpages suggests |
|---|---|
| "There was an error when publishing your page" | Delete unused pop-ups on the page and publish again; if that fails, duplicate or delete the form widget and retry |
| Error about a Stripe checkout | Remove unused checkout pop-ups named in the message, or edit the checkout settings to select a product |
| Builder keeps loading on publish | Use a private window or clear the browser cache |
| Cannot publish at all | Publishing requires a paid plan; check your subscription status in Billing |
If a pop-up or form is involved, the pop-ups guide and the forms guide show how to rebuild them cleanly.
Blank Pages and Blank Previews

A page that loads as a white screen usually has code on it that fails. Leadpages' help center says a blank published page can be caused by third-party code such as a Facebook Pixel, and recommends removing it, re-pasting the complete code from its source and updating the page. It also suggests checking whether any section has a timing control enabled, because a section set to appear later will look empty at first.
The same logic applies to a blank preview: remove the most recent custom code, then preview again. Tracking snippets are the usual suspect, so add them back one at a time using the methods in the tracking guide, and keep custom scripts tidy with the advice in custom HTML, CSS and JavaScript.
WordPress Plugin Problems
Pages published to WordPress add another layer that can go wrong. Leadpages' WordPress plugin troubleshooting guide lists these causes and fixes:
- Changes not appearing: caching plugins "can often interfere"; clear or disable the cache, clear your browser cache and set the page's cache option in the plugin to fetch the page on each visit.
- Odd behavior after updates: run the latest WordPress and plugin versions, including the Leadpages plugin.
- Plugin not working at all: your site needs PHP 7.2 or higher with TLS 1.2 or higher; your host can update this.
- Conflicts: deactivate every plugin except Leadpages, then turn them back on one at a time to find the one that breaks your pages.
- "login failed error code: 401": your browser probably autofilled your WordPress login; type your Leadpages credentials instead.
- No landing pages listed after login: the security token between the plugin and your account may need refreshing, which support can help with.
- Page URL not working: the page URL must follow your site's main URL format, with or without www as set in WordPress.
The plugin works on paid plans only. Setup and plugin choices are covered in the Leadpages WordPress plugin guide.
Leads or Integrations Not Coming Through
If the page loads but form entries are missing from your email tool, the page itself may be fine. Check that the form is connected to the right integration and list, then submit a test entry and look for it in your Leadpages leads and in the connected tool. A disconnected integration or a changed login in the other tool can also stop entries arriving. The forms guide walks through form settings, and email and CRM integrations covers the connection side.
When to Contact Leadpages Support
If none of the fixes work, send a ticket through the Support option in your account navigation menu. The help center asks for the page or form name, how it is published, the URL, any error messages and your account email if you write from outside the app. Mention your browser and what you already tried. More on response times and channels is in Leadpages support and contact options, and sign-in issues are covered in Leadpages login help.

Is Leadpages down right now?
Leadpages' former public status page is currently inactive, so there is no official dashboard. Test the page on another device and network, check third-party outage monitors and Leadpages' X account, and contact support if pages are failing for everyone.
Why doesn't Leadpages update my page?
In the current builder, edits made after publishing stay in draft until you publish again. If you did republish, clear your browser cache or open the page in a private window, and on WordPress clear any caching plugin.
Why is my Leadpages page blank?
Leadpages' help center says a blank or white published page is often caused by third-party code such as a tracking pixel. Remove the code, re-paste the full snippet from its source, republish and check whether any section has a timing control turned on.
Why is the Leadpages builder slow or frozen?
Try a private browser window or clear your cache, which Leadpages suggests for a builder that keeps loading. Use a current desktop browser, because Leadpages does not support editing in mobile browsers.
Which browser works best with Leadpages?
Use an up-to-date desktop browser on Leadpages' supported list. The help center says older browsers may not work properly and mobile browsers are not supported for building pages.
Why is my Leadpages WordPress plugin not working?
Leadpages' WordPress troubleshooting guide lists caching plugins, outdated WordPress or plugins, PHP below 7.2, plugin conflicts and autofilled WordPress credentials as common causes. See the Leadpages WordPress plugin guide.
