Leadpages Account, Billing and Sub Accounts, Including Agencies (2026)

Leadpages sub-accounts are a legacy feature tied to older plans; today most teams add users instead. Here is how accounts, seats, payments and plan changes work.

Updated November 7, 2026

Leadpages sub accounts are separate accounts linked to one master account, but they belong to Leadpages' older plan structure: the help center ties them to the retired Advanced plan, and the current pricing page does not mention them at all. For most teams today, the practical options are adding users to one account, sharing pages between accounts or talking to sales about an Enterprise or agency setup. This guide also covers payment methods, including PayPal, upgrading and downgrading, billing terms, taxes and account email changes, all based on Leadpages' official pricing page and help center.

What Is a Leadpages Sub-Account?

Leadpages' help center describes sub-accounts as "fully functional accounts that are connected to your master account". Each one has its own login email, password, Leadpages domain and landing pages, and the master account owner can sign in to any of them without knowing the sub-account password. A sub-account cannot view billing, change its plan, create further sub-accounts or add team members, and it cannot later be split off into its own paid subscription.

A Leadpages blog post on the feature pitched it at agencies managing client accounts, businesses with several locations and marketing teams that want separate workspaces under one owner.

Sub-Account Pricing and Availability

There is no published sub-account price. The help center says each Advanced subscriber could create up to five sub-accounts at no extra cost, that sub-accounts could be bought as an add-on to the Pro or Advanced plan and that additional ones were arranged through support. The blog post adds that they were available on annual or two-year Advanced plans.

Advanced is not one of today's plans, and the current Leadpages pricing page lists Pro, Business, Grow, Optimize and Enterprise without any mention of sub-accounts. If you need them, ask support or sales before you subscribe whether they can be added to your plan, and at what cost. If you already have sub-accounts on a legacy plan, note two rules from the help center: changing plans ends access to locked-in legacy features, and every sub-account must be deleted before the master account can be cancelled.

Adding Users and Team Members

For most teams, adding users is the current answer to sharing an account. Leadpages' help center says team collaboration is available on every plan, each user gets a unique login and there is a monthly fee per user, with no cap on how many you add. The pricing page shows one team seat included on Pro, Business and Grow and three on Optimize.

  • Owner: the person who created the account, with full access including billing. There is one owner, who cannot be removed.
  • Admin: can create and manage pages, add users and change the subscription, but cannot manage billing information.

To add someone, open Users from your account name menu, click Add User and enter their name and email; they set a password from the invitation email. Each email address can belong to only one Leadpages account. Removing a user frees the seat but does not change your subscription by itself, so contact support if you want to stop paying for it. Users can be added only to primary accounts, not to sub-accounts.

Leadpages for Agencies and Client Sites

Leadpages does not list a separate agency plan. The pricing page describes the Business plan as suited to "small teams and agencies publishing at volume", Optimize adds more seats and custom domains, and the contact page directs enterprise and agency inquiries to the sales team. In practice, there are four ways to make a site for someone else:

  1. Build in your account and use the client's domain. Each plan includes a set number of custom domains, so one account can host several clients' pages. See the custom domain guide.
  2. Add the client as a user so they can edit their own pages, keeping the per-user fee in mind.
  3. Share pages to the client's own Leadpages account. The help center notes that landing pages and sites can be shared with another Leadpages account, which suits handing over a finished project.
  4. Publish to the client's WordPress site with the Leadpages plugin on a paid plan, covered in the Leadpages WordPress plugin guide.

If you manage many clients and need separate billing or single sign-on, ask sales about Enterprise, which the pricing page lists with custom pricing, SSO, custom contracts and dedicated support.

Payment Methods, PayPal and Taxes

Leadpages' accepted payment methods article lists Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover, JCB and Diner's cards, plus debit cards that accept recurring payments and do not require a PIN or password. PayPal is accepted too, and the article recommends it for customers outside the US who have trouble paying by card. UnionPay and Skrill were available only for accounts created in a short window in 2025.

On taxes, the help center says customers outside the US may be charged VAT or GST, applied by Leadpages' payment processor, 2Checkout (Verifone). Businesses outside the US can tick "I'm ordering for a company" at signup and enter a VAT or GST ID; existing customers and US tax-exempt organizations apply for exemption through the processor, as explained in the help center's tax exemption article. You can see past charges in Billing History and Receipts and update your card in your billing settings.

Upgrading, Downgrading and Switching Plans

To change plans, click your account name, choose Billing and then Change Plan, or use the Upgrade button in the navigation menu. Leadpages' help center explains how the change is billed:

ChangeWhen it appliesBilling effect
UpgradeImmediatelyUnused time on the old plan is credited; the difference is usually charged right away
Upgrade during the trialImmediatelyBilling starts when the trial ends
DowngradeEnd of the current billing cycleNo refund; remaining value becomes a credit
Monthly to annual, or backOn requestHandled by support, not in the account

The pricing page puts it more simply, saying you can upgrade or downgrade anytime without penalties and that pages and domains carry over when you move up. Before downgrading, remove any pages, domains or blogs above the lower plan's limits, and note that switching away from a legacy plan ends its locked-in pricing. A complete billing address is required before any plan change.

Annual vs Monthly Billing

Leadpages advertises a 20% saving for paying annually, billed once a year, against monthly billing on the same plan. Monthly billing suits a first few months while you confirm the plan fits; annual billing suits a plan you know you will keep. Because the help center says plan changes stay within the same billing term, choose the term deliberately. Current offers, including the annual saving, are covered in Leadpages discounts, and new accounts start with the 7-day free trial.

Changing Your Account Email or Name

To change the email you sign in with, click your account name, choose Account Settings and select Edit next to your email. You confirm with your password and a verification code sent to the new address. The help center notes that the new address cannot already belong to another Leadpages account, active or inactive, and that account messages and lead notifications sent to the old account email move to the new one.

The help center does not document changing the account name, so contact support for that and for switching which account you use. For password and sign-in trouble, see Leadpages login help; to leave entirely, follow how to cancel Leadpages; and for anything else, Leadpages support options explains how to reach the team.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is a Leadpages sub-account?

Leadpages' help center describes sub-accounts as fully functional accounts connected to a master account, each with its own email, password, Leadpages domain and pages. The master account owner can sign in to them and manages their billing.

How much do Leadpages sub-accounts cost?

Leadpages does not publish a price. Its help center says the older Advanced plan included up to five sub-accounts and that extra ones were added through support. The current pricing page does not mention sub-accounts, so ask support or sales for a quote.

Can I add multiple users to Leadpages?

Yes. The help center says team users can be added on every plan for a monthly per-user fee, with no cap on the number of users. The pricing page lists one included seat on Pro, Business and Grow, and three on Optimize.

Can I pay for Leadpages with PayPal?

Yes. Leadpages' accepted payment methods article lists major credit and debit cards and PayPal, and recommends PayPal for customers outside the US who have trouble paying by card.

Does Leadpages charge GST or VAT?

It can. The help center says customers outside the US may be charged taxes such as VAT or GST, and that businesses can enter a VAT or GST ID at checkout or request an exemption through Leadpages' payment processor.

How do I switch from monthly to annual billing?

The help center says you cannot change the billing term yourself in the account. Contact Leadpages support to move between monthly and annual billing.

Can I build Leadpages sites for clients?

Yes. You can build in your own account and publish to the client's domain, add the client as a user, or share pages to the client's own Leadpages account. For larger agency setups, Leadpages directs enterprise and agency inquiries to its sales team.
